a collection of lost songs and demos

Seeds of Doubt is a collection of songs that were written, recorded, and shelved between 2014-2018. These recordings were largely meant to be references in preparation of a new album, though none of these songs ever made the cut.  Some are one take practices, stumbling through with lyrics on stand-by, some we brought in friends to help us through mental or musical blocks. Other songs we worked on for days sometimes weeks and once finished had lost interest. We doubted the quality of the songs, songwriting, and presentation every step of the way. As time has passed, instead of thinking of them as lost, we started to view it as an honest portrayal of our creative process. We found ourselves pleasantly surprised with what we had created. These songs never got shared because of doubt and a need to present the perfect ‘product’ - after much examination we’ve come to the conclusion there is no perfect anything - only attempts.
